Then after a long gap from the tv screen, she is back in Star Jalsha through popular serials Irabotir Chupkatha where she plays the role of Iraboti Mitra, a story of 32 years independent working & unmarried woman who excellently handles her job & family. In the middle, she appeared in movies like Bhooter Bhabishayt, directed by Anik Dutta & also worked with Soumitra Chattopadhyay in Belashse, by the direction of Shiboprasad Chatterjee & Nandita Roy & appeared in Saibal Banerjee & Leena Gangopadhyay’s movie Maati with starring Paoli Dam & Adil Hussain. Monami appeared in a Star Jalsha tv series, Punyi Pukur where she became a star after playing the character Kankaboti Banerjee aka Kakon. She worked with Etv Bangla & played as a lead character in Binni Dhaner Khoi, Hiyar Majhe & Sonar Horin. Then she got back-to-back serials to offer, like Pratiksha Ektu Bhalobasar, Kon Se Alor Swapno Niye, Sonar Horin, Ek Akasher Niche & Ekdin Pratidin. Monami started her career in her school days through a TV series that was her debut on the Tv screen, “ Saatkahon“.
